Race Training

Looking to take your skiing to the next level?

We now offer race training to skiers of all ages: as well as the invitation-only junior race training on a Monday night, we also run an open session for anyone wanting to learn slalom racing. The session is currently on Tuesday evenings. Anyone can come but you must have a helmet.

Our aim is to provide a fun and encouraging environment to train and to develop new skills.

During each session our coaches will run technical clinics working on the fundamentals of skiing and then applying these into a racing environment.

This can be done in many ways such as:

  • Free skiing
  • Technical drills
  • Video sessions
  • Course skiing (slalom/giant slalom)
  • Head-to-head racing

All this is delivered by highly experienced coaches and instructors that are there to see you succeed and most importantly have fun.

We have had many racers over the years that have represented the club at many compilations ranging from low key races to elite races on the snow. Jai Geyer started his skiing career at the club at the age of 4 and skied for Team GB. Currently he is on the World Cup circuit working with Dave Ryding. Could you be the next Jai?

Juniors (age 7–18) train on Monday evenings from 18:45 till 21:00, with a summer break in August.

Adults and juniors train on Thursday or Sunday evenings depending on the season (please see the Opening Times page for full details)
